Origin

The signal was brought into use in April 1989 in connection with the installation of reversible signalling between Thingley and Bathampton Junctions.

It was provided with a repeater, SN.125R.

SN.125 is the only reversible signal on the Swindon Panel area to not conform to the pattern of reversible signals being 600 numbers higher than their 'right direction' counterparts.
