Origin

DM.72 was a 3-aspect automatic signal commissioned at Swindon MAS Stage 1 on 14 November 1966[1]. At that stage it was supervised by Highworth Junction SB.

Supervision passed to Swindon Panel under Swindon MAS Stage 5 on 3rd March 1968.

Conversion to Controlled

This signal was taken out of use when Bourton Interlocking was commissioned on 1/10/77, as described in the following WON entry:

The signal became a controlled signal - SN.20

Reincarnation

A new signal, numbered DM.72 was installed later (at the time of the South Marston commissioning?)
