Articles about Control Functions should aim to include as much of the following as possible:
The top of the page should have a link back to the Control Functions list.
For points:
- Description of the location (miles and chains)
- Description of the function of the points (ie, Up Main to Up Goods)
- Interlocking area
- Method of control - motorised, ground frame, sprung, etc
- Date commissioned
- Date controlled onto Swindon Panel (if the interlocking pre-dates the panel)
- Date taken out of use
- (If dates not available, then dates known to be in existence, or not in existence)
For signals:
- Description of the location (miles and chains)
- Description of the profile of the signal:
- Aspects
- Junction indicators
- Route indicators
- Subsidiary Indications
- Purpose of the signal - what it protects, etc
- Interlocking area
- Controlled or automatic
- Date commissioned
- Date controlled onto Swindon Panel (if the interlocking pre-dates the panel)
- Date taken out of use
- (If dates not available, then dates known to be in existence, or not in existence)
- Whether the signal has been known by another name in the past.
For Ground Frame Release:
