Description
421 points are the trailing connection in the Up Main from Thingley Sidings.
They are worked by Thingley Up Sidings Ground Frame, released from Swindon Panel.
1975 Thingley Remodelling
Thingley junction was remodelled in 1975, at which point a new 421 connection to the Admiraly Sidings (still worked by the GF) was installed (although not brought into use straight away):
Conversion from mechanical to motor-worked
The ground frame was originally mechanical, but converted to motor operation at 05.35 on Monday 8 June 2009.
