Description
This signal protects Thingley Sidings on the Up Main in the down direction.
It is slotted by Thingley Up Sidings Ground Frame, released from Swindon Panel.
Taking out of use
At some point the ground frame and siding connections were taken out of use, and so was SN.286 as a result.
Bringing back into use
The ground frame and siding connections were brought back into use in September 1974, and SN.286 was "provided" (not for the first time?).
Alterations
The signal was moved in connection with the remodelling of Thingley Junction in 1975:
