Description

This signal applies to moves in the down direction on the Up Main at Swindon Station. It is on the same gantry as SN.38 (now removed), SN.40, and SN.44.

Alterations

The signal originally had routes to the Down Main, Up Goods and Down Branch.

The theatre box was replaced by position light junction indicators in 1979:

A route to the Up Main (reversible) was added [when?].

A position light route to the down Engineers' Sidings was added [when?].

Removal of routes to Up & Down Goods and Down Branch

The signal lost its routes to SN.52 and SN.150 in November 1992:

The junction indicators were planned to be removed later that month:

but they were not...

They were then planned to be removed in April 1993:

The last WON entry claiming the JIs will be removed was in July 1993:

There being no further WON entries, it is presumed they were finally removed this time.

Removal of 363 points
