Articles about ground frames should aim to include as much of the following as possible:

Include the template Template:InfoboxGroundFrame at the top of ground frame pages. See Wantage Ground Frame for an example.

The top of the page should have a link back to the list of Ground Frames.

  • Description of the location
  • Description of the track layout controlled
  • Description of the physical characteristics of the frame:
    • Number of levers
    • Type of locking
  • Release arrangements (number, which signal box)
  • Key configuration
  • List of lever descriptions (referencing lever leads if available)
  • Date opened
  • Date controlled onto Swindon Panel (if the frame pre-dates the panel)
  • Date taken out of use
  • (If dates not available, then dates known to be in existence, or not in existence)
