The mechanical signal box at Ashbury was taken out of use under Swindon MAS Stage 1, 12 November 1966[1].
Level Crossing
The level crossing was temporarily closed at the introduction of Swindon MAS Stage 1, pending conversion to AHB[2].
The crossing was closed with the raising of the line speed at the time of the introduction of HST.
