Description

This signal applies to moves leaving from Platform 1, the Up Passenger Line, in the down direction at Swindon Station.

The signal originally had routes to the Down Main, Up Goods and Down Branch.

Alterations in Connection with the closure of the Diesel MPD

In November 1972 when the connections to the Diesel MPD were recovered, this signal's route towards GPL SN.264 was altered to read towards the new Limit of shunt that replaced it.

Alterations in Connection with Reversible Signalling

A route to the Up Main (reversible) was added [when?].

Alterations in Connection with the Opening of the Down Engineers Siding

A position light route to the down Engineers' Sidings was added [when?].

Alterations in Connection with the Closure of the Down Engineers Siding

A position light route to the down Engineers' Sidings was removed in connection with the closure of the sidings [when?].

Alterations in Connection with the Passengerisation of the West Loop

The route to the Up Goods was removed in connection with the passengerisation of the line from 21.50 on Saturday 5 August 2006.
