5xx number series points are made up for the benefit of the SPS simulator, they were not really numbered points in real life. This mainly applies to hand points in sidings.

In the SPS simulator, hand points 503 points are the points from the Up Reception to the Through Siding at the very east end of Swindon Up Yard.
