Back to Control Functions.
This signal was at the country end of the Down Goods / Parcels / Relief (at various stages of history), guarding the traps and connection into the Down Main.
It was on the same gantry as SN.40 (DM), SN.42 (UM), SN.44 (DP).
Alteration
The route from the signal to Newburn Sidings (Down Engineers Sidings) was taken out of use in August 1982.
Decommissioning
The signal was taken out of use in connection with the provision of the new Platform 4 at Swindon, from 0800 on Wednesday 9 October 2002.
