Articles about ground frames should aim to include as much of the following as possible:
Include the template Template:InfoboxGroundFrame at the top of ground frame pages. See Wantage Ground Frame for an example.
The top of the page should have a link back to the list of Ground Frames.
- Description of the location
- Description of the track layout controlled
- Description of the physical characteristics of the frame:
- Number of levers
- Type of locking
- Release arrangements (number, which signal box)
- Key configuration
- List of lever descriptions (referencing lever leads if available)
- Date opened
- Date controlled onto Swindon Panel (if the frame pre-dates the panel)
- Date taken out of use
- (If dates not available, then dates known to be in existence, or not in existence)
