Articles about [[Routes]] controlled should aim to include as much of the following as possible:


* Description of the location (miles and chains)
The top of the page should have a link back to the [[Main Page]] (as there is no index page for the routes controlled).
* Description of the track layout controlled
 
* Type of interlocking
* General description of the route as a whole
* Method of control
* Description of the part of the route controlled by Swindon Panel
* Date commissioned
* Sub heading for each significant location on the route within the Swindon Panel area
* Date controlled onto Swindon Panel (if the interlocking pre-dates the panel)
** Description of relevance of location
* Date taken out of use
** Link to Wikipedia for stations, etc.
* (If dates not available, then dates known to be in existence, or not in existence)
 
Current policy is to not have a separate page for each location but to give detail in the Route page. May review if pages become to large...
