This notice describes the first stage of the opening of Swindon "B" SCC. Three signals controlled by Swindon PSB in the Uffington Interlocking area are replaced and transferred to SB, specifically UM.65 (SB.1014, approx. 65m 66ch), DM.63 (4-aspect SB.1007, approx. 63m 50ch), and DM.64 (4-aspect SB.1011, approx. 64m 51ch). In the Reading PSB area, UM.63 is replaced by SB.1010 (approx. 63m 50ch).
Challow Down Relief is opened, and changes occur to the reversible signalling for running Up the Down Main. Two new signals are introduced, SB.1008R (co-located with SB.1014 at approx. 65m 66ch) and SB.1008 (co-located with SB.1010 at approx. 63m 50ch), and SN.91, SN.93 and SN.693 are given routes to these signals, replacing the routes to R.703/R.703R.
SN.610R is re-sited to approx. 64m 51ch (co-located with SB.1011), and a new signal, SN.610RR, is introduced at approx. 63m 50ch (co-located with SB.1007).
SN.89 and SN.10 are replaced with 4-aspect signals.
