This signal shared a cantilever structure with UM.73.
Conversion to Controlled
The signal was converted from a 2-aspect (yellow/green) head to a 3-aspect (red/yellow/green) head at 0700 on 30 September 2001, although the red aspect was not brought into use.
The red aspect was planned to be brought into use and the signal re-numbered SN.681 on 7 February 2000, as described in GWS.15, but, due to 'construction difficulties' the work did not take place.
The red aspect was later planned to be brought into use on 18 February 2002, as described in GWS.27:
