Origin
UM.69 was a semi-automatic signal commissioned at Swindon MAS Stage 1 on 14 November 1966[1]. At that stage it was supervised by Uffington SB. It was the protecting signal for Ashbury Level Crossing and Ground Frames on the Up Main. It was semi-automatic and fitted with an emergency replacement switch.
Controlled passed to Swindon Panel under Swindon MAS Stage 5 on 3rd March 1968.
Conversion to Controlled
It became SN.87 on 2 August 1970.
Conversion back to Automatic
And latterly was converted back to an automatic.
