Signal Box
The mechanical signal box at Knighton was taken out of use preliminary to Swindon MAS Stage 1, between 0700 and 0800 on Saturday 12 November 1966[1].
Level Crossing
The level crossing was temporarily closed at the introduction of Swindon MAS Stage 1, pending conversion to AHB[1].
The crossing was closed with the raising of the line speed at the time of the introduction of HSTs. The undated WON entry first appeared in WON 26, January 1974:
