The WON in May 1989 made a point of saying that the signal would display a green aspect when [[SN.672]] displays a proceed aspect for its new route towards [[Bathampton]] Junctions continuing along the Up Main in the wrong direction. Could SN.670R not already display a green when [[SN.670]] was yellow and [[SN.672]] was red?

The signal was brought into use in July 1985, converted from SN.668R

The WON in May 1989 made a point of saying that the signal would display a green aspect when SN.672 displays a proceed aspect for its new route towards Bathampton Junctions continuing along the Up Main in the wrong direction. Could SN.670R not already display a green when SN.670 was yellow and SN.672 was red?
