Origin

There have been two SN.278s.

The first was a backing signal on the Up Main whose functionality was replaced by SN.662.

It was then reincarnated as the signal protecting the exit from the down siding at Wootton Bassett.

The signal exited from the opening of Swindon Panel and was replaced by SN.662 in .
