The signal had a route, towards the Down Main (up direction). The route was made unavailable with the removal of 335B points at 05.15 on Monday 25 February 2008.
Signals in rear of SN.261 were removed at 05.15 on Monday 21 December 2011. At this point, SN.261 became a backing signal only.

Description

This ground position light signal is on the Down Goods (applicable to movements in the up direction) at Swindon East.

The signal protects 332 points.

Removal of Routes in Rear

Signals in rear of SN.261 were removed at 05.15 on Monday 21 December 2011. At this point, SN.261 became a backing signal only.

Re-laying of 332 points

In 2009, 332 points were re-layed 100 yards nearer to Bristol, SN.261 was moved towards Bristol in sympathy.
