The signal was formerly an automatic - DM.72

Conversion to four-aspect

The signal was converted from a three-aspect head to a four-aspect head, and positioned on a new gantry at 04.50 on Monday 14 January 2002. The top yellow was not yet brought into use.

The top yellow aspect was planned to be brought into use on 7 February 2000, as described in GWS.15, but, due to 'construction difficulties' the work did not take place.
