The ground frame is off the end of the up platform at Kemble and controls access to a siding, the remains of the former Cirencester branch platform.

The ground frame slots Swindon's signals [[SN.290]], from the single line towards the siding, and [[SN.291]] from the siding towards the single line. [[SN.291]] reads all the way to [[SN.157]] at Swindon Loco Yard.
