DM.73 was an automatic signal commissioned at Swindon MAS Stage 1 on 14 November 1966[1]. At that stage it was supervised by Highworth Junction SB and was the last automatic on the Down Main in the newly-created track circuit block sections between there and Uffington SB.
Supervision passed to Swindon Panel under Swindon MAS Stage 5 on 3rd March 1968.
